A vendor sells a customer ten 200mcg pills of the prescription drug Cytotec-- enough to induce an abortion-- over the counter at a pharmacy in the Kirikiri neighborhood of Lagos, Nigeria, August 31, 2013. Cytotec, a trade name for the drug misoprostal, is used at lower doses to induce labor and slow post-partum bleeding, but has been widely used in higher doses for self-induced abortions in Nigeria. The ten pills cost 1,100 Naira, about $7US.
