Obyolulu and itwetu, two types of native herbs traditionally taken together to "correct missed periods", sit in the room where herbalist Cecilia Osakwe, 50, sees her clients, in the Ajegunle neighborhood of Lagos, Nigeria, August 27, 2013. The concoction is sold as a tincture of the crushed herbs mixed with local alcohol and is to be taken twice a day for four days. Osakwe says that she has stopped selling this particular combination, believing that it will bring her fertility practice bad luck.
