NIGERIA ABORTION005.JPG
A local "hawker" sells drugs from a basket that during the daytime is carried on the head along the tracks in the Badia neighborhood of Lagos, Nigeria, September 14, 2013. At night, the vendors set up in front of the brothels that line the tracks, pedaling wares like condoms, made-in-Nigeria herbal remedies and all manner of pills, sometimes including drugs used for abortion. It is difficult to verify the authenticity or chemical makeup of these drugs, making them dangerous purchases in a country with a renowned counterfeit market.
